Designer Group

The Designer Group features hybrid or “designer” dogs that are intentionally bred by crossing two purebred breeds. These mixed dogs are often developed to combine the best traits of both parents, such as hypoallergenic coats, unique appearances, or balanced temperaments. While not officially recognized as a traditional group by kennel clubs, designer breeds have become very popular for families and individuals seeking a modern companion dog.

Designer dog breeds vary widely in size, but most fall between 10 to 70 pounds (4.5 to 32 kg), depending on the parent breeds. Their personalities and care needs can also differ, making it important to learn about both sides of their lineage. Some of the most popular examples include the Labradoodle, known for its friendly temperament and low-shedding coat, the Goldendoodle, a loyal and intelligent family favorite, and the playful Puggle, a charming mix of Pug and Beagle.
